Following the events of the Flashpoint Paradox, John Stewart ( one of the few individuals who remembers the previous universe) wakes up to find that his former teacher, Sinestro has turned into a fear mongering monster with his own Corps dedicated to causing fear. In his Reign, Sinestro has conquered the peaceful planet of Thanigar, causing a Thanigarian Agent, Shayara Hall to flee to Oa in search of help for her planet. John agrees to help her as this is personal for him. Along the way, Johns new protege, Jessica Cruz tags along in hopes of conquering her own fears.
