Synopsis

After defeating Volthoom the First Lantern, the Green Lantern Corps must have to face a new menace that threatens the universe, a cosmic being known as Krona, a maltusian (a race that originated the Guardians of the Universe) who was exiled from his homeworld Maltus after a failed experiment that was about discovering the secret of the existence because of an ancient legend that said discovering that secret would cause a great calamity, now Krona is back and powerful then ever before to complete his experiment by using the Black Element (source of the Black Lantern Corps) to destroy the universe and recreate a new one where it can answer Krona's question of the true origin of the universe, the Green Lantern Corps must have to stop the powerful maltusian before it's too late. Meanwhile Sinestro decided to leave the Green Lantern Corps and form a new Lantern Corps know as the Sinestro Corps where its members use Yellow Lantern Rings powered by the Fear Emotional Spectrum and they were created from the Weaponers of Qward, they have put tyrannical order in galaxy through fear denying the people's freedom in exchange of security and protection, so the Green Lantern Corps must also stop the Sinestro Corps to decided which authority does the universe deserves and needs?
