Starts off with a dragonfly with no name (voice by Justin Timberlake) flying around then his friend crazylegs crane (voiced by frank welker ) chases him and then wants to eat him but then he stop and says he doesn't want to eat a dragonfly so they become friends and his son crane jr (voiced by Jason Marsden) comes and says to his dad why not eat him but he tell him to have a friendship with a dragonfly sooner they all get chase by a mad zookeeper (voiced by Bill Nighy) going after them until they filled and flew away from a water hole and then they landed in new york city and need help from a house family to save their lifes from a evil mad zookeeper who wants them to be in the zoo forever that everyone can look at and the house needs to bring them home where they came from
