Carol Danvers awakes after a two year coma after her battle against Rogue. Nick Fury approaches her, telling her that she's missed much. He explains that the woman that put her in a coma is actually a hero working with the mutant peacekeeping team the X-Men. Fury, wanting to know more about the dangers of space, asks Carol to go with him to help him discover what's in space. While reluctant, she agrees, but space has a whole lot more in store for them than they were expecting, and Carol might have to finally step up and be a hero.
