Assassin's Creed Films (also known as Assassin's Creed Cinematic Universe) has officially received an R-rating for violence. The news of the upcoming Universal Pictures films where 2027s Assassin's Creed: Retribution and 2031s Assassin's Creed: Sanctuary where the Assassin-Templar conflict with the same universe as the video games featured between the Assassins Brotherhood, who fight for peace and free will, and the Order of the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control in both historical events and in the present-day stories where the Assassins are the protagonists who battle Abstergo and its Templar supporters who are the main antagonists from retrieving Pieces of Eden.
