Thread for Specific Criticisms of the new design
I literally just popped over here after trying to navigate through the site's new layout and it does my heart good to see others share my pain. I feel so vindicated
when searching for something in the main search bar, all stories that match your search queries come up twice for absolutely no reason.
They need to fix two things.
1. Bring the option to allow other users to make edits or suggestions to roles in a story where I choose only I make the suggestions and edits and the option to allow only myself to make edits and suggestions to roles in a story where roles are open to everyone.
2. Make the order of suggestions from oldest to newest. I want the first suggestion to be the first in a role.

I tried uploading a story yesterday out of curiosity and it didn't pop up, the poster is blank, characters and director are present. But nothing else. I even tagged people on it to notify them and see if others would make suggestions and I didn't even get that.
I really wish this layout change never happened. I really do
They've had over a month to fix this. Everything is still broken.
I'm guessing the site is dead now and the owners don't care. Nobody will use it in its current state.
yea the goal of this post is to make a thread to help streamline all the things that need fixing so we can get back to normal
The search bar needs to be repaired. Not only do the same stories appear more than once, but whenever one searches in order of most to least roles the placement is out of order.
I just tried to add a character image on a role on my story out of curiosity (since I'm currently on hiatus as of now till they fix some stuff). I literally uploaded it, but after I pressed "Submit", the image isn't there. Even if I tried it again or refresh the page, the character image don't show up.
Agree with what @visno said about the notifications. Also, whenever we tried to zoom in for the images, the zooming is waaaayyy too much. And then like @theonewithda_gun says, character role images aren't showing up even if u have uploaded it or refresh the page

Sooo, the image did appear, but turns out it was added like three times. Now there's two images on the More Character Images section, the same exact one I put as the main image of my original role and u cannot freakin' delete it like the old layout.
Also, aside from being unable to restore deleted roles on stories, the Custom Sort Order for the roles is glitching. I deleted that role and made a new one with the same name, but when I try to reorder it onto the top, it stays on the bottom even if I refresh the page. I checked to reorder again, is stayed on the bottom, so I try to move it to the top again, but when I get to the story, the role stays on the bottom. It stays that way even if I refresh or try to reorder it..
- the ability to report as fake seems to be gone?
Man i wonder when will they fix the issue with the suggestions order, i prefer the original when the last suggestion was the last one to appear and not the first, it just looks weird now
Also, we cannot see which user uploaded a photo on actor galleries like we used to in the old layout
They gave us the option to see the suggestions in "Top Voted," "Oldest First," and "Newest First," but it's still not enough. For "Top Voted," the first suggestion should still be first even if it has the same number of votes as the other suggestions! It still doesn't feel right!

Agreed. first suggestion should still be shown as the first even if it's not voted yet. I don't get why the second or last suggestion comes up even though nobody voted on it.
Yeah, I can't submit casting choices anymore. What's going on?
Sometimes the castings doesn't even show up, so I gotta refresh the page. Or, when sometimes u can't do that, you gotta go out, then go back to that story again.
And I still don't get the removal of restoring deleted roles. Why remove it? Tho I'm afraid that if it's added again, it's gonna get restricted bcuz u gotta pay for that : (
Okay, so I just tried to test what one user said about tagging ppl in the comments. Apparently, u don't receive notifications when users mentioned u in the comments anymore. Tho back then, u got some notifications (before they fix some stuff in this new layout), but it's only if they provide the link to user accounts on the comments or smt?
Well, the point is, even if u mentioned the user in the comments, the user won't be notified even if u didn't block or mute them.
I'm not publishing any stories until these problems are fixed:
1. Fix the order of suggestions where the first suggestion is first and the latest suggestion is last.
2. I need the option to make some roles that I can allow other users to make suggestions in a story where only I make the suggestions back and make some roles where only I make suggestions in story where everyone can make suggestions.
3. Tagging other users in comments sends them notifications about it.
4. We get emails about getting mentioned in comments, getting votes in our suggestions, and getting private messages from users.

Strongly agree. For the suggestions one, I don't like the fact that even if the last suggestion weren't voted at all, it was always displayed onto the main story page instead of the first one that was made.
And then it seemed to still be like that even if it has the least votes than the previous casting suggestions.
