The series will introduce Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, a new incarnation of the Doctor, an alien Time Lord who travels through time and space in the TARDIS, which appears to be a British police box on the outside. The show revolved around Henry Gordon Jago and George Litefoot, characters first introduced in the Doctor Who story The Talons of Weng-Chiang. In the series, they solved mysteries involving paranormal or alien phenomena in 1890s London.

Doctor Who The Continued Chronicles

The viewer ship wouldn’t be amazing, but I think it would be better than what Season 26 got had they gone in a darker direction. Sadly for John Nathan-Turner, this means he would have to stay for a little longer. Sylvester McCoy would stay for Season 27 and Season 28, but Sophie Aldred would leave in the second story. Meaning they would have to cast a new companion, who would may or not be Julia Sawalha since she made it clear that she didn’t want to do it (Curse of Fatal Death kinda doesn’t count since that was a single episode charity spoof). But, since she did end up on Doctor Who regardless then maybe she would’ve accepted the role, though reluctant.

Had the Ninth Doctor stood with his future selves, there would be no need for the late John Hurt to appear in the special. It's depressing when you consider his presence was only required due to a last minute change to the script. He wasn't originally intended. Just forced in due to circumstance. I guess it would've been nice to have Christopher Eccleston back onscreen with David Tennant and Matt Smith. At the same time, it would've been a saddening loss not having John Hurt appear as the War Doctor.
