Spider-Man: Homecoming is a 2017 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. Produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the second Spider-Man film reboot and the 16th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In the film, After witnessing his parents' death, billionaire Bruce Wayne learns the art of fighting to confront injustice. When he returns to Gotham as Batman, he must stop a secret society that intends to destroy the city. The film was produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran of DC Studios.
