Telltale's The Walking Dead live action TV series
Telltale's The Walking Dead is a series that truly needs no introduction, but looks like I've got to give it one anyway! The Telltale Walking Dead series is not only the best and most highly regarded series Telltale has ever produced, but one of the most prolific and universally adored video game series of this generation, if not of all time. With everything from an expansive cast of relatable, richly layered and incredibly well written characters to a gripping and compelling overarching storyline told across a series of games, all unique and different to each other with their own assortments and profound and complex themes, with a riveting beginning and and an immensely impactful conclusion, to a narrative that's as profoundly compelling and remarkably developed as its two central, leading characters, it's certainly a challenge to think of series that could compete with Telltale's The Walking Dead in terms of how truly awe inspiring it is. Although Telltale's The Walking Dead concluded in 2019 with the concluding episode of its fourth and final season, I think a series as rich as this one would provide the most perfect groundwork imaginable for live action TV adaptation. And with the unbelievable success of HBO's The Last Of Us (and also considered the endless assortment of mainline Walking Dead shows have been put out to date) I don't think there's a better time to do this than now. So without any further ado, let's get right into it!

Lore Accurate The Last Of Us
What even is there to be said about The Last Of Us that hasn't been said over a thousand times before? Ask anyone who's ever played the game and they'll tell you all the ways that it's one of the most groundbreaking achievements in the history of modern gaming. Over the years, The last of has become one of the most highly regarded and incredibly renowned games of all time, and it's not hard to see why. From incredibly complex and well written characters, to exceptional worldbuilding and above all else some of the most remarkably profound storytelling and narrative craftsmanship I've seen in any medium. It's a phenomenal game, and to its credit, the TV series adaptation made for HBO was actually a lot more respectful to the source material than I think a lot of us were expecting it to be, and even as a standalone take on the game's story, I agree that it's an excellent series in its own right. But for all the things that the HBO show did right, in most cases its takes on the characters from the game don't exactly line up seamlessly to their depictions in the game itself. So considering this, I thought it would be interesting to see how I could cast the characters of The Last Of Us in a way that lines up with how they're shown in the game a little bit better. But before I get started, I should say that I'm going to be casting all the main characters from both The Last Of Us Part 1 and 2, just so you're aware. But enough about that, let's just get started!

Lore Accurate Uncharted
The Uncharted series is one of the most entertaining series of games that I've ever played through. The games really have a lot to write home about, from a varied cast of interesting characters with a wealth of charm and personality, immersive gameplay that's equal parts entertaining as well as challenging, a grandiose and often legitimately cinematic feel that breathes so much life into each entry in the series, an endless assortment of exhilerating and thrilling swashbuckling action mandatory for any game in the action adventure genre, and a style of storytelling that does so much to truly encapsulate the feel of an authentic and compelling treasure hunter narrative. The games are truly excellent in so many ways. However, when it comes to the subject of adaptations, I think we can all agree that the series got a serious raw deal with the 2022 Uncharted movie, and the less said about that thing the better! But I digress. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to cast the characters in the series in a way that would actually faithfully represent the characters as depicted in the games, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. Before we start though, just know that this is going to include all primary/central characters from the four mainline series entries (Uncharted 1-4) as well as Golden Abyss (the vita game) and also the Lost Legacy spinoff game. But enough talk, let's get started shall we?

Lore Accurate The Boys
Amazon Prime's adaptation of The Boys comic series by Garth Ennis has garnered a pretty significant reputation in the years following its initial introduction and for the most part at least, has received some very prominent praise amongst its ever increasing audience. However, the series as a whole is incredibly divergent from the source material and deviates from the core storyline of the original comic series in a lot of significant ways, and arguably the most significant example of the show's deviation from the comics is in its depiction of the characters. In most cases, such as with Butcher and Homelander, a lot of character depictions in the show line up pretty seamlessly to their original comic book counterparts. While in other cases, such as with Hughie, Black Noir and Stormfront, they couldn't be more far removed from this. As a relatively casual fan of The Boys (both the comics and the show), I thought it would be fun to try and cast the characters in such a way that would be more akin to how they're represented in the actual comic series. Let's get diabolical!

Darksiders Live Action Movie Trilogy
Darksiders is a series that I've really started to get into a lot lately. It's a series that has a lot more going for it then I think a lot of people realise. The games have a lot of really strong elements to them. A compelling and immersive overarching storyline, fascinating worldbuilding and expansive lore, a unique and incredibly varied cast of characters, there really is a lot to love with this series. So while we wait for the long anticipated fourth installment of this highly underrated series, I figured it would be fun to make some casting suggestions for the characters featured in it for a hypothetical film trilogy. I feel that Darksiders is a concept that would work incredibly well when translated to film, with it preferably being done predominantly through CG and Motion Capture, perhaps in the same vein as the Robert Zemeckis Beowulf film. And with the Darksiders series as a whole taking a great deal of inspiration from The Legend Of Zelda, I think there's no better fit for the director of this project than the man who brought us the greatest trilogy of fantasy films of all time, that of course being the great Peter Jackson! But that's not what you're here for, you're here for the actors! So without any further ado, let's just get into it!

Casting God Of War Characters For Live Action
Just got done casting the Norse God Of War characters for hypothetical live action TV series, so I figured I might as well do the same for some of the original Greek characters as well. I mean it'd be wrong to wouldn't it?

God Of War: The Norse Saga TV Series
God Of War is a truly incredible series with a rich and storied history. It's a series that's gone through a rather remarkable degree of evolution over the years. Starting off as a brutal bloodsoaked tale of a man's relentless journey to achieve his vengeance against the Greek Gods for the years of torture and oppression he suffered at their hands, to a story of that same's fight for redemption and to rebuild the honour he once had by guiding and nurturing his son to be better than what he once was. But that barely scratches the surface of how complex and masterfully crafted the overarching narrative of The God Of War series truly is, as there's so much more to it than just that. The phenomenal calibre of storytelling, the incredible narrative craftsmanship, the depth of the lore that envelopes the world to the characters, themes, the worldbuilding, everything exists entirely on its own level of sheer brilliance. God Of War is a phenomenal series in every way, so it's only a matter of time before an adaptation (whether it be for film or television) of it's stories is made in some form or another, I mean it's inevitable really. As far as we're aware, Amazon Prime is supposedly developing a live action series based on the Norse saga of games, so that's what I'm going to focus on right here. So here are my picks for who I think should play the characters of The Norse God Of War Series in a potentially forthcoming live action adaptation

Red Dead Redemption II HBO Max TV Series
Red Dead Redemption II, much like its predecessor, is a game that's held in very high regard for its compelling storyline and overarching plot, its complex and well developed characters, and immersive themes of honour, justice, brotherhood, betrayal, lies and manipulation, passing of the times, the futility of trying to preserve a dying era, learning to accept the inevitability of change, forging one's one path in path in life and well, redemption! It's a game that I've always found particularly interesting, and like a lot of games of a similar vein to it, I, and I'm sure a lot of others, think it provides a lot of great material that's perfect to build a hypothetical TV series adaptation off of. So here's who I'd cast as the famous, and infamous characters of a live action TV series of this cult classic game!

16 Actors Who Should Play Batman
Batman is inarguably one of the most iconic and prolific comic book characters, as well as fictional characters in general really, to ever be created, so naturally he's been portrayed by an extensive number of different actors across the realms of film, television, and just about everything inbetween. With that being said, I intend to use this as an opportunity to share with you a selection of sixteen different actors who I think could play Batman, not just as Batman himself, but a variety of different renditions and iterations of Batman and interpretations of Batman as a character exclusive to certain, particular stories. So, without any further delay, let's just get right into it

James Gunn's The Authority
There's been a lot of buzz going around lately regarding James Gunn's forthcoming movie adaptation of the DC/Wildstorm comic series "The Authority." Gunn himself has stated that The Authority as a unit will be set up in the upcoming Superman: Legacy, which will lead into their own standalone film which will establish them as key figures within the new DC Universe. I'll admit that I know next to nothing about The Authority as characters beyond them practically being DC's equivalent of The Boys ( Kind Of ). But they still sound really interesting to me, and besides, castings like these are always fun to do, so I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring and give my casting choices for these characters, despite not knowing a whole lot about them

My Ideal DCEU
Let's not beat around the bush here, The DC Extended Universe hasn't exactly had the best history, nor is it in the best shape as of now by any stretch of the imagination. However, with it now being under management in the form of James Gunn, if all things go according to plan, the future should hopefully look a lot brighter for DC on film. With Gunn effectively wiping the slate clean for the DC Comics film franchise with all future installments, I figured now's as good a time as any to present what I would want DC on screen to look like if I were placed at the helm. So if it were up to me, here's who I'd pick to play the respective characters of the new and improved DC Extended Universe

All New All Different X Men
The X Men is one of the most ongoing, storied and insanely convoluted comic book movie franchises in the history of the modern entertainment industry. It's been rebooted, revamped, reshaped and reworked more times than I can count. So with that said, if the restart switch were to be hit on the entire onscreen X Men movie franchise right here right now, and I were put in charge of casting all the characters to be brought to screen, then here's who I'd choose to bring those iconic, timeless characters to live once again

My Ideal Marvel Cinematic Universe
It goes without saying that Marvel (in both the comics and the movies) is undoubtedly a franchise with more than a few interesting characters in its very expansive catalogue. So many that I'd be a fool to pass up on a chance like this to put forward my own ideal casting choices for some of the characters that I find most Interesting. So if I were put in charge of crafting the whole MCU starting all the way back in 2008 with the first classic Iron Man movie, here's who I'd choose to play the characters featured in it

Alternate Universe MCU Avengers
Let's imagine for a moment a distant, parallel reality where, in the beloved 2012 Avengers film, the Avengers lineup was made up of entirely different actors to the one's most known for portraying those iconic characters today. In this story, I'm going to recast the six core Avengers for that original 2012 film if it were made with an entirely different cast

All New All Different Spider Man
If the Spider Man franchise were to be fully restarted from the ground with a clean slate starting tomorrow, with no connection to the MCU or to any of the other Spider Man movies or film series' whatsoever, if if it came down to me to decide who gets picked to play Spider Man, his allies, enemies and the general characters affiliated with him, then here's who I'd pick

Live Action Into The Spider Verse MCU
Let's face it, it's only a matter of time until Marvel incorporates Miles Morales into The larger MCU, and the way in which he'll be introduced will most likely be through the whole multiverse plot device, to which there will be no surprise whatsoever! When Miles does eventually come to The MCU, it's probably going to be a safe bet that he'll most likely be followed by some if not all the characters from the Into The Spider Verse films, Gwen Stacey, Peter B Parker, Spider Man 2099 ect. So I figure it would be a fun idea to nominate some actors to play those characters in live action if and when that does eventually occur

Invincible Live Action Series Amazon Prime
I'm going to start this off by saying exactly what I had said when I previously did a fancast for a hypothetical live action Arcane series, in that I do not believe that there needs to be any kind of remake of Invincible, live action or otherwise, to be made in any way shape or form. Invincible is a perfect, brilliant series entirely on its own and, just like the aforementioned Arcane, the most crucial, definitive reason it works as well as it does is because of the fact that it's animated. However, it's still a lot of fun to think about all these different hypothetical scenarios and come up with your own stories to go along with them, plus Invincible has so many unique and interesting characters in its lineup, way too interesting to pass up on a chance to present my own casting choices for them. Right, with all of that out of the way, let's just get into it. Here are my casting choices for the characters of a hypothetical live action version of one of the absolute best animated series going today, Invincible

The Wolf Among Us Live Action TV Series HBO MAX
The Wolf Among Us is, undoubtedly, one of my absolute most favourite games of all time, and, in my opinion, easily the best thing TellTale Games has ever done. It's a brilliant game in every regard. Thus, with it having such incredible writing and a masterfully developed storyline, I naturally think it would have some seriously extraordinary potential if it were to be adapted into a TV series, or even a mini series of some kind. With The Wolf Among Us being owned by Warner Bros, and the game itself being adapted from The Fables series by Bill Willingham, a series of graphic novels published by Vertigo, a subsidiary of DC Comics, a hypothetical TV series based on the game, and by extension the comics it was adapted from, would most likely be made exclusively for HBO MAX. Also, if it were up to me I'd put Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, the developers of American Gods, in charge of the production, given the fact that American Gods generally has a lot of similar thematic vibes to The Wolf Among Us, at least in my view anyway. Right, I've been droning on about this long enough, let's get down to business here, shall we? Here's my ideal cast for the characters of a potential TV series adaptation of Fables and The Wolf Among Us Note: I do intend to come back to this at a later date and cast the new characters to be introduced in the upcoming, long awaited second season of the game, so stay tuned for that

Harry Potter Recast HBO MAX
Been binge watching all the Harry Potter films with my family lately, so I thought I might as well do something with it. With Warner Bros currently working on a TV series retelling of the books, I figured it would be fun to make my own casting calls for as many characters as I can list. So without any further ado, here we go!

Arcane live action series
Been a while since I've done one of these, but this is something that I've been wanting to do for a really long time now. Let me just preface this by saying that we absolutely DO NOT need for any kind of live action adaptation of Arcane to be made in any way, shape or form. We all know the actual Arcane animated series is purely phenomenal entirely on its one and has no need to be changed or altered in any regard whatsoever. However, while I do wholeheartedly think that it doesn't need to happen, I also think that there is some level of possibility that it could actually work if it were to be given the same exact treatment that was given to the most recent live action One Piece series, as that's a live action reinterpretation of an animated property that pays respect to the source material that it's based on while also having its own distinctive identity. Which is exactly what a live action Arcane series should be if it were to ever be made. With all of that in mind, here's my casting ideas for the key characters of a hypothetical live action reimagining of the incredible work of cinematic art that is Arcane
