After a successful mission in international territories, the G.I. Visiting Azad, the Vizier tricks the Prince into releasing the Sands, turning everyone but the Prince, the Vizier and Farah (protected by the Dagger, a staff and a medallion respectively) into monsters.[12] The Vizier attempts to seize the Dagger from the Prince, but he escapes and eventually allies with Farah to undo the damage he has caused and prevent the Sands from covering the world, even though he has doubts about her loyalties and motives.

The novel tells of a young Alliance lieutenant, David Anderson, and his efforts to find a survivor of an attack on a top-secret Alliance base, lieutenant Kahlee Sanders. As the book progresses it is revealed the base was attacked purposely by the Blue Suns mercenary group, who were hired by the leading scientist on the base. A turian Spectre, Saren, is assigned to help Anderson and find clues as to where the missing scientist is located. Eventually they find the scientist, but Saren escapes with the information the scientist was researching to an ancient alien ship which he plans to use for his own evil deeds as portrayed as the main plot in the game Mass Effect.

G.I. Joe: Shadow Strike (Video Game)

In "G.I. Joe: Shadow Strike," players would embark on a high-stakes mission to thwart Cobra's latest scheme for global domination. The story would unfold across a series of intense missions, each with its own objectives and challenges, as players lead the elite G.I. Joe team into battle against Cobra operatives and their nefarious allies. The game would begin with a sudden escalation of Cobra's activities, as intelligence reports indicate that Cobra Commander is planning a devastating attack on a major city. Assembling a team of skilled operatives, including Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Snake Eyes, and other iconic G.I. Joe characters, players must infiltrate Cobra's secret bases, uncover their plans, and stop them before it's too late. Throughout the game, players would encounter familiar Cobra villains such as Baroness, Storm Shadow, and Destro, each with their own sinister agendas and formidable forces. As the G.I. Joe team delves deeper into Cobra's operations, they would uncover shocking secrets, face off against powerful adversaries, and engage in epic battles to save the world from Cobra's tyranny.
