In Stars and Time
The player assumes control of Siffrin, who is leading his party from the town of Dormont to the House of Change. The House has been taken over by the King, who will perpetually freeze the country of Vaugarde in time if they fail to stop him. Siffrin is quickly killed by a trap after entering the House, but finds himself waking up in Dormont the day before, unharmed. After waking up, he is informed by a mysterious, star-shaped figure named Loop that he has been trapped in a time loop. Choosing not to tell his party, Siffrin uses his time loops and Loop's assistance to defeat the King and save Vaugarde. However, he soon discovers that he also gets looped back after defeating the King; Loop assures him that they will help him escape the situation.
Pokémon Legends: ZA
Five years after the events of Pokémon X and Y, Lumiose City had begun an urban redevelopment project led by Quasartico Inc. to restore the city's condition after an incident involving Team Flare, creating "wild zones" where Pokémon live in the city. The player character arrives as a tourist to Lumiose City, and befriends either Taunie or Urbain (if the player selected a male or female character, respectively), who gives the player their starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile and brings the player to Hotel Z owned by the 3,000-year old AZ and his Floette. The player then joins the citywide Z-A Royale tournament where participants compete to rise from the lowest Rank Z to Rank A, with those reaching Rank A being granted a wish by Quasartico.

Sonic learns that Neo Metal Sonic is now leading the Badniks, plotting to take over the world in Eggman's stead. While Sonic and his friends fight Neo Metal Sonic and his army on Angel Island, an Eggman admirer named Dr. Starline kidnaps Mr. Tinker and successfully reverts him back to Eggman after a defeated Metal Sonic returns to him. While Tangle helps Whisper apprehend her former comrade turned criminal Mimic, Eggman hatches a new scheme involving the Metal Virus, which turns organic life into mindless robots dubbed "Zombots", but it quickly mutates beyond his control. Starline brings in the Deadly Six in hopes that they can control the Zombots, but they betray him. This leads to a falling out between Starline and Eggman and forces the latter to help Sonic and his friends cure the world.
