Five of Peter Parker's most fearsome enemies are broken out of jail by a new villain calling himself the Green Goblin. These six villains team up to try to defeat Spider-Man once and for all. The Green Goblin, aka Norman Osborn, has even found out who Peter is, and feeling like his son Harry has been disrespected by him and that Spider-Man has brought his company crashing down around him, Norman wants Peter to suffer the same way that he has. Eddie wants to escape Ravencroft and exact his revenge on Spider-Man, fortunately, it doesn't take long for the Venom symbiote to find him. The two bond again and go on the hunt for Peter. Unfortunately, the symbiote has reproduced, and its spawn has bonded with serial killer Cletus Kassady, who was taken down by Peter. Eddie wants Cletus to help him take down Spider-Man, but after he threatens the life of Eddie's childhood friend Anne Weying, he realizes that Cletus is too far gone and reluctantly turns to Peter for help against the monster that he unkowingly created. Sable has been fighting vigilantes and Tombstone's henchmen for years, trying to hunt him down and destroy him. Sable is hired by none other than Tombstone to kill the Black Cat, who stole something of value from him, although Sable does not know that. Sable and Cat end up fighting each other over the artifact until they're forced to fight together for survival against Scorpion who was sent by Tombstone to dispose of both of the threats when he realizes Sable is getting dangerously close to realizing who she's working for. Peter meanwhile wants to begin dating Gwen but has trouble asking her out and making it to things on time, but as Spider-Man, Felicia flirts and gets close to him. Peter struggles to balance his life as Peter Parker and his as Spider-Man and begins to debate whether it be better to be with Gwen or Felicia and if Felicia can even be trusted since he knows she's working for Kingpin. Miguel got addicted to the drug Rapture, given to him by Alchemax's owner Tyler Stone. Instead of pledging allegiance to him, Miguel tried to cure himself. It worked, but he was given spider-like abilities. With his knowledge of Tyler Stone and Alchemax's dark secrets, Miguel decides to become the new Spider-Man himself and save his time from the dangerous Alchemax.
