This animated movie disregards everything except the original. After Daniel won the 1984 tournament Kreese was enraged and attack Johnny and having Mr Miyagi to save Johnny just like in the movie. This takes place a month after Daniel won, he was training with Mr Miyagi but when Mike Barnes shows up Daniel fights Barnes without knowing how strong he is and ends up loosing, Mr Miyagi sends Daniel to Okinawa to train with Mr Miyagi’s friends and his student Chozen, meanwhile back in America Johnny shows up asking Mr Miyagi to teach him and his friends better karate then the Cobra Kai karate and shut down Kreese’s Cobra Kai.

While Jason’s gone Trini and Billy were able to fix Alpha who had a virus in his systems but they still need to find Zordon and Learn the identity of this green ranger. Jason is searching for the new green ranger but the green ranger finds him first Jason Morphs and they battle each other out, Jason was about to win until the green ranger teleports him to a different dimension called the dark dimension where he sees Goldar and the two battle it out. Back in the regular dimension the rangers located the green ranger and without Jason they go to battle him but the green ranger is much stronger with the sword of darkness by his side.

Jason’s preparing for a karate match at the youth center, His friends and fellow rangers cheer him on from the side, Jason then takes a look at the new competitor named Tommy Oliver and Jason feels he’s gonna be a challenge the match begins and it ends in a tie, at the end of the match Kim stays behind to take a look at Tommy. Meanwhile Rita takes a look at Tommy and is impressed at his fighting, this gives her an idea to create an evil ranger and having Tommy as her evil ranger.
