Doctor Doom
In 500 AD, the tyrannical king of Latveria, Vladimir Fortunov, creates the Crown of Sabbat, which gives the wearer great power. After attempting to stage a revolt, a young Romani boy is given the cosmic power by the Silver Surfer, transforming him into Latveria's heroic champion, who allegedly kills Fortunov and ends his reign. Werner gave Victor his powers to save his life, and Fortunov's assassins immediately killed the depowered Werner. An enraged Doom slaughtered all of the king's men and inadvertently destroyed Latveria's palace. He was subsequently deemed unworthy by the Silver Surfer and imprisoned. Feeling incapable of becoming a true hero, Doom surrenders. The West Coast Avengers takes him to a secret Thunderbolts black site. Doctor Strange has a premonition of Wonder Man's impending death. As the West Coast Avengers return to the city, they realize Dimitri intentionally made Doom kill him while he was wearing the Crown of Sabbat so that he could be reborn with the Power Cosmic, who arises from the dead to claim his throne.

Defenders
In Hell's Kitchen, Daredevil is ambushed in the sewers by Stick and is mortally wounded. With no way to beat Stick, Daredevil seals Stick in the sewers with himself and then sets the sewers ablaze, resulting in both of their deaths. The heroes of Hell's Kitchen, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight and Jessica Jones learn of Daredevil's sacrifice. As his final act, Daredevil leaves them a message, telling his allies that Hell's Kitchen will need them more than ever once the criminal underworld notices Daredevil has gone missing. Determined to carry on Daredevil's will, the four heroes band together to form the Defenders.

Catwoman: Metamorphosis
In an alley behind a church, Sister Elizabeth discovers the crumpled and beaten body of Selina Kyle, a prostitute. While the police rush Selina to the hospital, Sister Elizabeth complains to Sister Magdalene of the girl's endless compassion for stray cats. Magdalene comments that someone special to her always had cats around, and Sister Elizabeth softens, explaining that six months is not so long to go without hearing from someone. In the hospital, Selina is visited by a man named Flannery, claiming to be from Gotham Vice. He demands to know who beat her up, but she is evasive. In fact, she won't answer any of his questions. They are interrupted by a priest offering communion. Perhaps too vehemently, Selina refuses, and the priest shuffles off. Flannery tells her to call him if she does decide to press charges against the man who beat and raped her. He offers her a card, but it's not his card. He explains that she should use the number on the card to talk to a man who can help her take care of herself - it may save her life one day. At the church, Sister Elizabeth tries to dissuade Sister Magdalene from continually praying for her sister. She comments that there are other runaways in the city who need help. Magdalene responds that Elizabeth is a cold, cruel woman. The elder sister simply states that she is a realist, shooing another of Magdalene's strays away.

Young Caesar
The film starts with a twenty-six year-old Gaius Julius Caesar under the captive of Cilician pirates, who are demanding ransom. He is visited by his uncle Gaius Marius, the great Roman leader. He gives him a motivational talk. Marius, a staunch populist, is opposed by his former protege, Sulla during the Roman Social War. Sulla returned to Rome after a war campaign, seeking vengeance. Marius is killed. Sulla becomes dictator of Rome and targets all Marius allies to be eliminated, including young Caesar. Caesar is on the run and chased by Sulla's men. After his capture, he is freed after an intervention from Aurelia and the Vestal Virgins. His path was never meant to cross with Lou's, but a wicked stunt forces them into an impossible union—holy matrimony. The war between witches and Church is an ancient one, and Lou's most dangerous enemies bring a fate worse than fire. Unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, a choice must be made. And love makes fools of us all.
