Game of Thrones: Season 1
Season 1 spans a period of several months on a world where the seasons last for years at a time. The action begins in the unified Seven Kingdoms of Westeros as the long summer ends and winter draws near. Lady Eddara Stark is asked by her old friend, Queen Robetta Baratheon, to serve as the Hand of the Queen following the death of the previous incumbent, Eddara's mentor Joan Arryn. Eddara is reluctant but receives intelligence suggesting that Joan was murdered. Eddara accepts Robetta's offer, planning to use her position and authority to investigate the alleged murder. Meanwhile, on the eastern continent of Essos, the exiled children of House Targaryen, which Robetta destroyed to claim the throne, are plotting to return to Westeros and unseat the 'usurper'. To this end, Viserya Targaryen arranges the marriage of her brother Daeron to Khaleesi Draga, the leader of 40,000 Dothraki warriors, in return for the use of her warriors in invading Westeros. For his part, Daeron just wants to find a safe refuge far away from Queen Robetta's assassins and his sister's scheming ambition. Finally, on the northern-most border of the Seven Kingdoms the sworn sisters of the Night's Watch guard the Wall, a 300-mile-long colossal fortification of ice which has stood for thousands of years. The Watch defends the Wall against the depredations of the lawless wildlings who live beyond, but rumor speaks of a new threat arising in the lands of perpetual winter.

Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Guilty Pleasures
Ever since the Supreme Court granted the undead equal rights, most people think vampires are just ordinary folks with fangs. I know better. I’ve seen their victims. I carry the scars… But now a serial killer is murdering vampires—and the most powerful bloodsucker in town wants me to find the killer… “ “In a world where vampires, zombies and werewolves have been declared legal citizens of the United States, Anita Blake is an “animator” – a profession that involves raising the dead for mourning relatives. But Anita is also known as a fearsome hunter of criminal vampires, and she’s often employed to investigate cases that are far too much for conventional police. But as Anita gains the attention of the vampire masters of her hometown of St Louis, she also risks revealing an intriguing secret about herself – the source of her unusual strength and power.”

Young Injustice
S1E1: Bad Since Birth It was a storming and gloomy night (gloomier than usual for Gotham) when a woman crashed on the steps of the GCPD begging and screaming "Please, he'll kill it!". The police surrounded the woman to help her to her feet when they discovered that she was none other than Harley Quinn. She continued to plead and beg, repeating "He'll kill it". Harley Quinn was pregnant and if the Joker ever found out, she and her child would be dead...or worse. With the help of the Justice League and Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn gave birth to her daughter in Mount Justice outside of Happy Harbor, Maine. After orchestrating a false death, the Joker forgot about Harley and his secret daughter April was safe. Trapped inside Mount Justice for her own safety, April knew nothing about the outside world for 17 years. Isolation like that causes trauma and to cope with her trauma, April often sought comfort in the mental apparitions of her father. In a cruel twist of fate, the Joker and his daughter had never been closer.
