George A. Romero's Resident Evil

A deadly viral outbreak at a secret underground lab beneath an abandoned mansion prompts a corporate military team, S.T.A.R.S., to investigate. As soldiers are picked off by zombies and bio-organic weapons, survivor Chris Redfield—a local Native naturalist—joins officer Jill Valentine to fight their way to the lab's deepest level. There, commander Albert Wesker reveals his true mission: to sell the virus data and destroy all evidence using a dead-man's switch bomb. Betrayed by their leader and hunted by the ultimate weapon, the Tyrant, the remaining survivors must escape, destroy the lab, and expose the corporation responsible.

In rain-soaked Gotham, Bruce Wayne lives as a feral mechanic above a garage, waging a savage one-man war on crime using military surplus and hockey gear. James Cameron's The Amazing Spider-Man

The film centers on outcast teen genius Peter Parker, who develops spider-like superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-altered spider, and decides to use his newfound powers to fight crime and protect the people of New York City as Spider-Man, after the killing of his late Uncle Ben.
