MCU Phase 9: Magik: Inferno
An adaptation of the classic X-men Inferno storyline but switching out the main X-Men team (who have enough movies of their own) for Magik's perspective (should be an MCU lead character going through the mutants phases) supported by a number of other mutants.

This would likely remove the Madelyne Pryor elements and replace them with much of what happened to Illyana after she was sucked into Limbo during the Colossus mini-series; those events would feed into the main plot here. Belasco's defiant hunt to reclaim the Darkchylde.

Culminating in a huge demonic invasion of Earth, centralised on Chicago. Post-credits sequences would include Demogoblin's arrival to the MCU.

MCU Phase 7: Madrox (mini series)
Identified as a mutant from birth, Jamie Madrox has strived to hide his secret all his life, carving out a low-key living as a private investigator.

It is when he is put on a case that brings him into contact with Guido Carosella, another mutant from a young age, now implicated in a missing persons case, that Jamie begins to reassess his place in an ever-expandnig world dominated by super-powered freaks.

MCU Phase 8: Avengers: West Coast
TBC.

This will serve as a send-off Renner's Hawkeye and Cardellinni's Mockingbird I.

Also, with Grim Reaper as the villain (possibly set up as the new Loki), this may be the closest we get to a live action Marvel Zombies movie.

MCU Phase 10: Pryde (Season 2)
Taking its base story from the 'Kitty Pryde & Wolverine' mini series, this season will document Kate's transition from Phase to Shadowcat. Logan will of course be involved and we will see antagonistic turns in Ogun and Lady Deathstrike.

Including Logan means this can also serve to open up some of his extended past. Not sure I would go down the Mariko route again but perhaps some exploration of Logan's Madripoor past, his previous persona, Patch.

MCU Phase 9: Pryde (Season 1)
Following the events of Phase 8's 'Second Genesis' movie, Kate Pryde decides to go back to whatever normality she can find. Joined by Nightcrawler, Colossus and Illyana Rasputin, she relocates to Chicago (or London?), enrolls at college and reconciles with a family who did not react well to her coming out as a mutant.

First series would incorporate elements of existing storylines, 'Mekanix' and 'Kitty's Fairy Tale' (would make for some interesting style switches through storytelling scenes). If London was involved, Captain Britain and Betsy Braddock could also make appearances, leading into future films.

One key inclusion would be the ripping away of Illyana to the Hell Dimension, only to be returned almost immediately in adult form, which would lead directly into a Magik movie later in Phase 9.

NB. Personally I'd leave Lockheed out of it, I'm not really sure what he brings to the party, but imagine the fanboys and girls would be up in arms about it.

MCU Phase 8: Alpha Flight (mini series)
Following the events of Wolverine, the Flight program has been dissolved and replaced by a more structured, three tier model with Alpha Flight the only operations-ready team. The narrative sees Heather Hudson, now out on her own and out for revenge on Elihas Starr with a stolen combat suit in tow, assigning herself the designation Vindicator. Meanwhile Guardian, now field leader, and the rest of the team continue their search for both Starr and Heather. Other threads include the following of a Gamma/Beta Flight recruit as they make an ambitious push for inclusion in the first team.

MCU Phase 7: Captain Britain
Setting up one of the main icons of the next three-to-six phases (10 years) of the MCU and with the X-Men being a team series, Captain Britain is one of the few peripheral X-characters to have significant background and development to go it alone. It would also be a bit different.

Narrative would follow the Braddock family, two of whom are coming to grips with their newfound mutant abilities. This property is one that might benefit from wholeslae changes, such as the ages of the Braddock siblings, and where Brian gets his powers from. One option is he is also a mutant. A more interesting angle might be that, seeing his siblings acquire great abilities, Brian hones his body and becomes a Batman-type vigilante until he acquires his super powers via Excalibur or some other ancient relic or entity.

Jamie will obviously cause problems or be set up as a future threat and the movie would also introduce Meggan.

Likely we will see the Knights Pendragon involved in some capacity but perhaps not in the traditional comic sense rather as unexpected villains of the piece. Another option is to introduce the Hellfire Club here and this would also be a means as to which Brian might encounter the source of his abilities.

MCU Phase 7: Spider-Woman
The first in a series of movies and shows that will build up to the West Coast Avengers event movie.

Spider-Woman may borrow or follow on from Secret Invasion, with S.H.I.E.L.D. courting Jessica to join their ranks, or even being her place of origin. It would be interesting to include Werewolf by Night somehow, and also Morgan Le Fay, although it would be more grounded to include the latter in a manner that didn't include time travel.

MCU Phase 8: Wolverine: Weapon X
Following the events of the first movie in Phase 7, and Logan's recollection of his escape from the Weapon X facility, he retraces his steps, finding his way back to the greater Weapon Plus program.

The plot would continue to flesh out the rivalry between Logan and Victor Creed and a host of figures from his past.

Mid/Post-credit stingers to potentially include links to Nuke, Typhoid Mary, and Professor X's persistence leading up to Second Genesis.

MCU Phase 8: Magneto: the New Brotherhood
Although titled after the Brotherhood's leader, the movie would focus equally on Rogue and her relationship with Erik, ultimately leading to her decision to distance herself from his extremist ways.

The plot would include Rogue's infamous battle with Captain Marvel, in which the former would obtain the powers of flight and strength through absorption.

An additional angle might be the introduction of Genosha as a mutant concentration camp, thus fuelling Magneto's rage against humanity.

MCU Phase 10: X-Factor
Following the stinger of Uncanny X-men: Second Genesis, and a number of hints through the various X-mini series (Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird), Val Cooper finally realises a Government-sponsored mutant team, led by Alex Summers.

The team will include Polaris, now poached from Department H in the MCU (following her appearance in Wolverine), as well as Northstar, who is transferred in to replace the deceased (and now over-aged Quicksilver); similar powers and temperament make this a fairly seamless replacement. The Magneto ties are now pretty much nullified.

Plot TBC, however Genosha, Random and either the Acolytes, Dark Riders or Mutant Liberation Front (led by someone other than Stryfe) likely to feature.

MCU Phase 8: Nightcrawler (mini series)
One of a series of MCU miniseries that focuses on a solo mutant storyline, each leading into a Second Genesis iteration of the X-Men.

Rather than Germany, Nightcrawler's plot would start in Florida, in the Jardine Circus where Kurt has laid low for years, only now with the emergence of the x-gene he is under more scrutiny than ever... and the locals aren't the only ones beginning to sharpen their pitchforks. Introducing Graydon Creed and the Friends of Humanity.

Set before Nightcrawler even knows he has the ability to teleport, he will discover this gift throughout the series.

MCU Phase 8: Storm
One of a series of MCU movies and miniseries that focuses on a solo mutant storyline, each leading into a Second Genesis iteration of the X-Men.

Storm’s storyline will centre around her coming to terms with the trauma of her childhood in Cairo, through her deification in Kenya to becoming a target for mutant-hunting mercenaries and adoption into Wakandan society.

An alternative is to involve the Morlocks somehow but at this early stage in mutant existence in the MCU, an underground society seems rather rushed.

MCU Phase 6: The Mutants
Set at the turn of the Millennium, the plot sees a 20-something Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr assisting an NGO in Africa and exploring their mutant abilities and the x-gene. It will also explore their own historical traumas and the effects they have had on their respective worldviews.

The storyline would include a younger Moira MacTaggart, and draw them to Egypt after Xavier senses a third psychic signature similar to their own, only for them to find, and try to prevent, the uprising of one En Sabah Nur.

NB. Personal preference would be to de-age long term castings rather than cast younger for the sake of 20 years or so. This would also provide a setting and scenes to revisit if the MCU were to ever attempt the Age of Apocalypse if Legion were to bounce back in time.

MCU Phase 8: Uncanny X-Men 2: Second Genesis
Following mini series (Thunderbird, Colossus) and stingers (Cyclops' escape) that allude to a problem with the original team, the plot here sees the culmination of Xavier's assembling of the second X-Men team to rescue the originals from Krakoa.

At some point it will be revealed that another villain is manipulating Krakoa, but not before the team launch Krakoa into space.

The plot will also see an unexpected character death (anyone but Thunderbird for the sake of mystery), which will present an opportunity to recreate the Annie Richardson death whereby Jean is in their head at the time and inadvertently calls out to the Phoenix Force (tying into Starjammers 2 later)

An ongoing subplot throughout Phases 7-9 of the X-films/shows involves Val Cooper trying to recruit mutants for a Government-sponsored Mutant team. She is declined by everyone present in the X-Men here, however a mid-credits stinger would see her visit the Summers home and recruit Alex.

And the end-credits stinger would see a cameo of Magneto as he takes over a space station in Earth's orbit and directs it towards the drifting Krakoa (set up for Asteroid M).

MCU Phase 8: Colossus (mini series)
One of a series of MCU miniseries that focuses on a solo mutant storyline, each leading into a Second Genesis iteration of the X-Men.

Colossus' plot will be a personal one involving his relationship with his brother, Mikhail, his sister, Illyana, and their collective discovery of their mutant abilities and how they react individually to these gifts, ultimately resulting in a feud between Piotr and Mikhail.

NB. Given the current geo-political climate, I imagine their heritage would be moved away from Russian origins.

MCU Phase 9: Starjammers 2: Blade of the Phoenix
Second instalment sees the Shi'ar outlaw, Rook'shir, acquire the Blade of the Phoenix and wield it's power, he lays siege to the Shi'ar Empire.

Cerise joins the Starjammers at the end of the first film and so they have ties to the Shi'ar going into this. They stumble into the middle of Rook'shir's attack and, combining forces with the surviving members of the Imperial Guard, search for a means in which to defeat him.

This would lead almost directly into the Dark Phoenix storyline, possibly the phase 9 capper, with the X-Men and greater MCU involved.

MCU Phase 8: Starjammers
Introducing the X-men-centric cosmic players of the MCU, the Shi'ar, the D'Bari, possibly the Phoenix Force, which could ultimately be the phase capper for Phases 7-9.

The main conflict of this first Starjammers iteration would be a Brood outbreak that threatens to destroy the Shi'ar Empire. Rook'shir potentially the cause of the Brood attack. Ultimately a diversion so that he can claim the Blade of the Phoenix (the eventual catalyst for Starjammers 2).

MCU Phase 7: Uncanny X-Men
Assuming that the planned movie, The Mutants is not specifically gathering the team and is, for example, more focused on the characters of Xavier and Magneto and the emergence of the X-gene, this proposal would act to bring the initial team of X-Men together.

With Marvel Girl, Angel and Iceman already recruited to Xavier's school, alongside his own son, David (ultimately Legion), the narrative would focus on the gathering of the school's final recruits: Cyclops, Beast and Dust.

The latter of whom is also being targetted for recruitment by Magneto, who is forming his own following. This will lead to obvious conflict between the two factions, however ultimately it will be Legion who poses the biggest threat and the two sides come together to overcome him.

Post-credits stinger would see the green light given to the Mutant Registration Act and the mass production and deployment of the Sentinels.

MCU Phase 8: Thunderbird (mini series)
One of a series of MCU miniseries that focuses on a solo mutant storyline, each leading into a Second Genesis iteration of the X-Men.

Thunderbird's plot will revolve around his relationship with his tribe and the investigation into a series of livestock, and later human, killings at the hand of Wendigo.
