In 1990, superhero Omega Ray was sent into another dimension by his nemesis, The Mad Doctor. This leads to his team "The Justice Buddies" disbanding, and the members going separate ways. Years later in 2002, his son Chester "Ace" Manchester and his friends were selected to form the new Justice Buddies. However they aren't very good at their jobs, and fail to live up to the legacy the original team left behind, they are so bad in fact that they are labeled as "The Super-Zeroes".
