Scream (2002)
Like the original movie 35 years ago, a teenage girl is at home alone when the phone rings. A man wants to play a game with her. With the threat of killing her best friend, Tara's forced to play along. She barely survives the ghost face masked intruder's stabbing. Her 5 year older sister, Sam(antha), who left home at 18 due to mental problems, Sam's boyfriend and Tara's high school friends visit her at the hospital. Later on in a bar, a guy provokes the friends and is later attacked outside in the parking lot by Ghostface. Sam receives a call from him at the hospital and then he unsuccessfully attacks her. She later reveals family secrets to her sister. Sam contacts one of the original victims, Dewey, for help. He warns two other original victims, Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, about Ghostface being back. Who is Ghostface? How many more must die?

M3GAN (1983)

Seventeen-year-old high school senior Billy Lynch was raised by his maternal aunt, Cheryl Roberts, with whom he has lived since the age of three when his parents died in a tragic accident. Billy hopes to get a basketball scholarship to the University of Denver, where his girlfriend Julie Linden will be attending. What those around her don't know is that Cheryl is deranged and will do whatever it takes to keep Billy all to herself. What Billy also does not know is that there is an unknown third in his and Aunt Cheryl's relationship, that third who is either the cause of or has exacerbated her derangement. Aunt Cheryl's actions lead to Billy being implicated in a murder, Billy's plea of innocence is not helped by the narrow-mindedness of the lead police detective, hyper-masculine Lieutenant Joe Carlson. Billy, those close to him, and anyone who gets too close to discovering the truth about Aunt Cheryl could be in danger at her hands in the process.

Prequel to the original Scream exploring the tragic backstory of Maureen Prescott, mother of the legendary Scream heroine Sidney Prescott. starting in the early 70's when a young Maureen Roberts was a happy-go-lucky aspiring actress looking to make a break in Hollywood only to attend a certain party that unfortunately led to a vicious sexual assault by multiple men that would forever change her life, not only resulting in an unwanted pregnancy but would also ultimately lead her to make bad choices that would also not only spark the events of her untimely murder decades later but would also go on to affect the life of her daughter. Takes place from the early 70's right down to her brutal murder in 1995. The movie ends with Maureen's dead body being taken away and Billy comforting an inconsolable Sidney with Billy hugging her whilst smirking at the audience while Sidney's back is turned. What follows is a slight reenactment of the opening scene of the original Scream with Casey Becker preparing for a movie night in when suddenly the phone rings and Casey answers it then the credits roll.
