The Conjuring 4
The fourth instalment from The Conjuring franchise has been revealed as The Conjuring: Last Rites. The announcement was made during the CinemaCon event that took place in Las Vegas. The Conjuring franchise stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Giancarlo Esposito will later be casted to play Gaston Perrault, the former chief of the Tonton Macoute While the director of the fourth instalment is yet to be revealed, it is highly likely that James Wan who backed and helmed the first film, might return to helm the film."With the Conjuring films, we are very precious about [them]. And so we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and moving into, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it's the right thing, the right story that we're telling," James was quoted as saying earlier. However, the makers did not confirm if The Conjuring: Last Rites will be the last part of the horror franchise. It was the first Conjuring film in the series to be distributed by Paramount Pictures internationally along with the North American distributor Warner Bros. Pictures and the production companies of New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster Productions and The Safran Company.

The Conjuring: Last Rites will cast Giancarlo Esposito as he will be on the role of the former chief of the Tonton Macoute, a bokor and an evil witch who lives in New England after he was forced to be exile in the United States as he first met The Warrens in 1986 after the fall of the Duvalier dictatorship from his native island country of Haiti. The Conjuring: Last Rites was the first film to be distributed by Paramount Pictures along with New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick would write the script, while James Wan and Peter Safran would return as producers. Wan later confirmed that Wilson and Farmiga would reprise their respective roles. The Conjuring Universe is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of supernatural horror films. The four films that are directed by Michael Chaves are The Curse of La Llorona (2019), The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021), The Nun 2 (2023) and Soulless Dead (2027). Soulless Dead was the first film to be distributed by Paramount Pictures along with production company of New Line Cinema. Captain Gaston Perrault was the new main antagonist of Soulless Dead which was portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito who will play an evil chief of the Tonton Macoute secret police in Haiti under the regime of Papa Doc Duvalier in 1968.
