Aliens vs. Predator: Three World War

Aliens vs. Predator: Three World War is the mini-series based on six-issue limited comic book series that was first published by Dark Horse Comics from January-September 2010. It was written by Randy Stradley, pencilled by Rick Leonardi, inked by Mark Pennington, colored by Wes Dzioba, lettered by Nate Piekos, and edited by Chris Warner and Samantha Robertson, with cover art by Raymond Swanland. Warner also provided a variant cover for the first issue. The series served to relaunch the Aliens vs. Predator comics line after a ten-year hiatus (although several one-shot tie-in comics had been released during this time, to coincide with the release oft he Alien vs. Predator films).

Talon is a series set 65 million years in the past and dinosaurs are the only remaining complex life in the Universe. A Wizard, the last of his people, and a mysterious entity are on the run from an ancient and ravenous alien race called the Vair’un and their last hope lies with Earth’s mighty thunder lizards. The show is a sci-fi fantasy that explores what could have caused the mass extinctions. It begins with the Great Dying at the end of the Permian and ends with the K-T asteroid that killed the dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous. Between these events, we’ll follow Talon and her found family of magical Champions as they deal with family drama, struggle to survive a rapidly evolving world, and try to win a war that began eons ago.
