Hogan's Heroes (1985-1991)

Hogan's Heroes is an American television sitcom created by Bernard Fein and Albert S. Ruddy which is set in a prisoner-of-war (POW) camp in Nazi Germany during World War II, and centers on a group of Allied prisoners who use the POW camp as an operations base for sabotage and espionage activities directed against Nazi Germany. It ran for 168 episodes (six seasons) from September 17, 1965, to April 4, 1971, on the CBS network, and has been broadcast in reruns ever since.

Home on the Range is a 2004 American animated Western music comedy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. Written and directed by Will Finn and John Sanford, it stars the voices of Roseanne Barr, Judi Dench, Jennifer Tilly, Cuba Gooding Jr., Randy Quaid, and Steve Buscemi. It features original songs written by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, and an original musical orchestral score also composed by Menken.

Red Dead Redemption (1950's)

Film adaptation of Red Dead saga. Red Dead Redemption, developed by Rockstar San Diego (which also worked on its predecessor), was released in May 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to critical and commercial acclaim. Selling over 15 million copies by 2017 and winning many year-end accolades from multiple gaming publications, the game is considered to be one of the best games of all time. Multiple DLCs were added, including Undead Nightmare, a single-player expansion later released as a standalone game. A Game of the Year edition of the game includes all of the additional content. Red Dead Redemption 2, developed by Rockstar Games, was released on October 26, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, November 5, 2019, for Windows, and on November 19, 2019, for Stadia. The game was also widely acclaimed and a commercial success, generating $725 million in revenue in three days and selling 23 million copies in two weeks. It is considered an example of video games as an art form and it is also regarded as one of the greatest video games ever made. Its online multiplayer component, Red Dead Online, was released in beta on November 27, 2018, to mixed reviews, with a full release on May 15, 2019, which received more positive reviews.

Sisu: Road to Revenge (1995)

Sisu: Road to Revenge (Finnish: Sisu 2; stylized as SI2U) is a 2025 action film written and directed by Jalmari Helander. It is the sequel to Sisu (2022). Jorma Tommila reprises his role as Aatami Korpi, with Richard Brake and Stephen Lang joining the cast. In the sequel, Aatami Korpi dismantles his old family house, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor, but the man who killed Korpi's family, comes back hellbent on finishing the job: kill the legendary ex-soldier by any means necessary.

The film stars Jorma Tommila, alongside Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo and Onni Tommila. It is set during the Lapland War between Finland and Nazi Germany towards the end of World War II, where a legendary Finnish Army commando-turned-gold prospector attempts to defend himself from being robbed and murdered by a Waffen-SS platoon led by an infamously brutal and corrupt officer.

The Nightingale (1988)

The Nightingale is a 2018 Australian historical psychological thriller film written and directed by Jennifer Kent.[6][7][8] The film stars Aisling Franciosi, Sam Claflin, Baykali Ganambarr, Damon Herriman, Harry Greenwood, Ewen Leslie, Charlie Shotwell, Michael Sheasby, and Magnolia Maymuru. Set in 1825 in Van Diemen's Land, it follows a young Irish convict (Franciosi) seeking vengeance against members of the Colonial forces of Tasmania who gang-raped her and killed both her husband and infant daughter. She is aided by an Aboriginal Tasmanian tracker (Ganambarr), who seeks vengeance for the British occupiers' Black War against his people.

Paths of Glory (2027)

Paths of Glory is a 1957 American anti-war film[5] directed by Stanley Kubrick, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Calder Willingham and Jim Thompson. It is adapted from the 1935 novel of the same name by Humphrey Cobb,[6] which in turn was based on the Souain corporals affair during World War I. The film stars Kirk Douglas as Colonel Dax, the commanding officer of French soldiers who refuse to continue a suicidal attack, after which Dax defends them against charges of cowardice in a court-martial. It also features Ralph Meeker, Adolphe Menjou, George Macready, Timothy Carey, Joe Turkel, Wayne Morris and Richard Anderson.

It was directed by Tony Bill, a pilot and aviation enthusiast,[4] and written by Phil Sears, Blake T. Evans, and David S. Ward. Set during World War I, the film follows the enlistment, training, and combat experiences of a group of young Americans who volunteered to become fighter pilots in the Lafayette Escadrille, the 124th air squadron formed by the French in 1916.[5] The film deals with themes of friendship, racial prejudice, revenge, and love.
