Timothy Simon Roth (born May 14, 1961) is an English actor and director. He was among the prominent British actors known as the "Brit Pack". For his performance inΒ Rob RoyΒ (1995), Roth won aΒ BAFTA Award and was nominated for theΒ Academy AwardΒ and theΒ Golden Globe Award.Β
After garnering attention in television productionsΒ Made in BritainΒ (1982) andΒ MeantimeΒ (1983), Roth was nominated for theΒ BAFTA Award for Most Promising NewcomerΒ in his theatrical film debutΒ The HitΒ (1984).
