Tadanobu Sato

Tadanobu Asano was born in the Hommoku district of Yokohama to artist Yukihisa Sato and his wife Junko, whose father is Willard Overing, a U.S. citizen whom Asano has never seen. Tadanobu Asano played his first role at the age of 16 on television thanks to his father, who was an agent in the acting business. This was followed by film roles, where Tadanobu Asano made his debut in 1990 in the film "Swim Upstream". Tadanobu Asano became famous for his roles in films on the Samurai theme, primarily in the drama on the theme of same-sex love "Taboo" and in the dramatic action movie "Zatoichi".
