Biography
Soraya Wilkinson-Wyke was born in Tank on the North West Frontier and was adopted when 5 days old. She was educated at Monmouth Haberdashers School for Girls.
Soraya spent several years carving out a diverse television career. She first appeared on our screen in 2001 in a fly on the wall 8 week series for ITV2 called "Million Dollar Babes" (produced by Lion Production).It gathered a large following and shortly after it finished she was approached by several production houses and TV stations to host new shows.
As well as presenting work on independent film review programmes to alternative life style shows Soraya is also known as a voice over artist. Her husky, well spoken, dulcet tones lends itself well to many products, programmes and adverts.
Over the years Soraya has worked full time presenting and hosting weekly, daily and one off shows broadcast on Sky TV. Her voice over and pundit work on many subject have aired on BBC1, BBC2, Chanel 4, ITV, ITV2, Sky, House FM and more.
She is best known for her straight talking, intelligent brand of personal advice on social and topical subjects. Her Knack to make even the most guarded guest open up in an interview situation brought her regular work on several lifestyles and magazine style shows.
Credited as the only female presenter to have worked as "In the field presenter" on the film review show "Shortcutters". The boys club feel of the show greatly benefited from a clever, articulate females touch.
Soraya grew up in a picturesque setting of faded grandeur. As the daughter of a retired British Diplomat and ex MI6 Agent Lt Col John Edward Wyke OBE (who in retirement became a successful BBC Radio 4 playwright) quality, strong will and a strong work ethic was second nature and naturally applied to all areas of life - A skill applied throughout all careers and has given her a reputation in television for integrity, attention to detail and smart delivery.
Down to earth, hard working and delights in knowledge gained not only in front of the camera but also from her writing, producing and researching for projects behind the scenes rather than the just being involved in front of camera.

Her back ground in PR, Luxury Fashion as well as Marketing and Events has given her a drive and ability to turn her hand to anything and control situations that may faze other hosts.
She thrives on "Live" TV and is a master of Ad Lib and off the cuff comments. Known for her ability to make all those interviewed by her feel comfortable and understood - she has been approached often by magazines such as Marie Claire, Psychologies Magazine, Cosmopolitan etc to give opinions on various subjects.
Soraya had no yearning to enter the world of TV and has never "looked" for work but ran with opportunity when they arose.
She was offered her 1st feature film role in 2010 and has been offered others since and will be filming again from 2012 though acting comes second to her wishes to peruse more writing and off camera work which offers control and free thinking and she finds rewarding.
In her spare time due to her love and expert knowledge if fashion she sources luxury vintage pieces for friends and clients under the name Wardrobe by Wilkinson-Wyke and has worked for French Houses, Christian Lacroix, Louis Vuitton and Nina Ricci.
