No Way
"No Way" is the first solo in the musical Six. It is sung by Catherine of Aragon. The song recounts how Catherine was loyal to Henry throughout their entire marriage, even while she knew he was actively cheating on her. She remained silent about his acts and put up with his behaviour. It also discusses how Catherine fought for years against the annulment, bringing up Henry's excuses for divorcing her and how Catherine knelt in front of Henry at the Legatine Court on 21 June 1529, explaining every way she had been a good wife to him. She declares that because Henry married her, she will be queen until the end of her life.read more
