Joseph David Keery, also known professionally asΒ Djo, is an American actor, singer, and musician. He first gained international recognition for playingΒ Steve HarringtonΒ in the science fiction seriesΒ Stranger ThingsΒ (2016β2025), and has since starred in the comedy horror filmΒ Spree (2020), the comedy filmΒ Free GuyΒ (2021), and in theΒ fifth seasonΒ of the crime comedy-drama seriesΒ FargoΒ (2023β2024).
As a musician, Keery was a founding member of the psychedelic rock bandΒ Post Animal. He left the band in 2018 due to acting commitments. In 2019, he released his debut solo album,Β Twenty Twenty (2019), as Djo. His second album,Β DecideΒ (2022), spawned theΒ sleeper hitΒ and his firstΒ BillboardΒ Hot 100Β entry, "End of Beginning", after it became viral onΒ TikTokΒ in 2024. Djo's third album,Β The Crux, was released in 2025. He rejoined Post Animal that same year and headlined theΒ Back on You World TourΒ as Djo with Post Animal as openers.
