Daniel Jason SudeikisΒ (/sΚΛdeΙͺkΙͺs/Β suu-DAY-kiss; born September 18, 1975)Β is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. In the 1990s, he began his career inΒ improv comedy. He performed withΒ ComedySportz, iO Chicago (Improv Olympic), andΒ The Second City. In 2003, Sudeikis was hired as a writer for theΒ NBCΒ sketch comedyΒ seriesΒ Saturday Night Live and later spent nine seasons as a cast member from 2005 to 2013, playingΒ Joe BidenΒ andΒ Mitt Romney, among others.
From 2020 to 2023, he co-created and played the title role in theΒ Apple TV+Β sports comedy seriesΒ Ted Lasso, which earned him fourΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ and twoΒ Golden Globe Awards. He was also one of the leading cast members inΒ The Cleveland ShowΒ (2009-2013). Sudeikis has also acted in recurring roles in the comedy seriesΒ 30 RockΒ (2007β2010),Β It's Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaΒ (2010β2011),Β PortlandiaΒ (2011β2014), andΒ The Last Man on EarthΒ (2015β2018).
