Biography

First appeared in The Power Company Vol 1 #6 in 2002 and was created by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett. Jack Spheer was the CEO of Biospheer Technologies who developed an additive called Biomax and used it to alter the process of food production. However, Biomax caused illnesses in people who ate the additive, including Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris, causing their friends the Green Arrow and the Black Canary to confront him. After his son Jason pushed him into a vat of Biomax, Jack Spheer gained superpowers.
