Biography

Isaura "Isaurinha" Garcia (São Paulo, February 26, 1923 — São Paulo, August 30, 1993) was a Brazilian singer, considered one of the most important interpreters in the history of Brazilian music in the 20th century, singing samba, jazz and Bossa Nova. With more than fifty years of career, she has recorded more than three hundred songs. Among her biggest hits is the song "Mensagem". Considered by several critics and journalists as the Brazilian Edith Piaf.
