Biography

Hanna-Barbera Studios Japan Ltd. is a Japanese animation studio based in Japan and owned by Sony/WarnerMedia International in conjunction with Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics. It is the EMEA arm of Cartoon Network Studios. On April 7, 2021, it was announced that the studio had found Hanna-Barbera Studios Japan, paying tribute to the original American studio, founded by renowned animators Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera on July 7, 1957. The Hanna-Barbera name had previously been revived on some WBA series and films based on the classic franchises, including Scooby-Doo media, like The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!, Wacky Races, and Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs. Future plans for the studio have yet to be announced, however. Hanna-Barbera and Crunchyroll produced original anime which includes "Fena: Pirate Princess" and Alcon's "Blade Runner: Black Lotus".
