Biography
Gabriel Simon Garcia (born April 5, 1954, known by his pseudonym Geo G.) is an American cartoonist, voice actor, animator and film and television producer, most notably known for his work in film and television, and is the creator of the Geo Universal series (which consists of Geo Comic, Geo Adventure, and Geo TV). He has also worked on the Geo the Creature series, The Wacky Pack, Niz Chicoloco, Planetokio, Cland Ann, and many more.
Geo G. is currently the CEO and chairman of Gingo Animation and the founder of its subsidiary Glass Ball Productions.
Geo G. was born on April 5, 1954, the eldest of 7 children to Robert "Bob" Garcia I (July 5, 1925-September 8, 1996) and Cynthia "Cindy" Garcia (McKinley) (April 9, 1932-January 2, 2020), and was introduced to animation through many studios (Disney specifically), by his uncle Ronald (May 17, 1924-March 23, 2001). In the late 1970s, he began his animation career, starting with working at Hanna-Barbera after graduating from CalCarts in 1978. He left the studio in the late 1980s (although he came back to produce a few shorts which would later become Gabriel Garza) to found his own production company/animation studio Gingo Animation. In 1984, he met Katharine Haughton, a then psychology student at UCLA and married her in Nevada in 1985. They have 4 children, Gabriel Jr., Audrey, Jessica, and Sean. He became a grandfather on April 14, 2014 by the birth of Gabriel III.
