Biography

Devil Kazuya (デビルカズヤ Debiru Kazuya?), formerly simply known as Devil (デビル Debiru?) is a character who made its debut in the original Tekken in the form of an unlockable third costume for Kazuya Mishima and as a playable debut and a standalone character in Tekken 2, acting as the final boss for all characters except itself. Devil Kazuya is one of the main antagonists/anti-villains of the series. It is the devil counterpart of Kazuya Mishima and later Jin Kazama, after it was split in two when Kazuya was cast into a volcano at the end of Tekken 2. Originally a malevolent entity intent on possessing either Kazuya or Jin, one-half has now merged with Kazuya, and is under Kazuya's control. Though multiple characters have a 'devil', only the iteration within Kazuya has been historically referred to as 'Devil'. Devil can take its own form or can take over the body of Kazuya or Jin to become Devil Kazuya or Devil Jin respectively.
