M'gann was born on the planet Mars. She has twelve sisters, seventeen brothers and nearly three hundred cousins. As a white Martian, she suffered rejection from the dominant green Martians. She grew up watching television, following the Martian Manhunter's adventures on Earth. She was particularly fond of the show Hello, Megan! and adored the main character she felt close to, due to their similar names.
