Ever since the latent VENOM in his DNA began to react inside of him, his rage transformed the young boy into an invincible behemoth of pure destruction. All he did was stand up for himself against a few muggers and yet here he was: standing on trial for his crimes at the age of 13. Standing behind a glass window pane in Stryker's Island was his father, Bane. The man who broke the bat stared, disappointed at his son. Having grown up in prison since birth, Bane knew that no son of his would live the same fate that turned him into the villain he was. Bane ordered his son to learn how to tame his rage into a better future. Bane told Rico of a program led by Lex Luthor and the Justice League to rehabilitate the children of supervillains into heroes of tomorrow. Young Rico juggled the idea in his head but Bane's words were as powerful as his strength. Rico Dorrance, the son of Bane was joining the Young Justice program.
