As her girlfriend April and the rest of her team discovered her true identity, she offered them the chance to join her crusade for justice, to punish the villains of the universe so that they don't ruin the lives of others. Something snapped in Mara as she went on a rampage against her former teammates. April, Leo and Aurora took arms against Mara but they were powerless against her. It was only until April stood in front of her girlfriend's heating laser vision that Mara froze. Could she really kill April? As Mara's tears quickly disintegrated in the heat of her eyes, she flew into the cold vastness of space. Weeks went by and every night, April looked up into the stars hoping Mara was safe and doing well.
