Two opening shorts called Raitoningu no Tabidachi (ライトニング旅立ち), or "Lightning's Journey." and The Untold Story of Mewtwo (ミュウツーの誕生 The Birth of Mewtwo) are appear in the intro. After a scientific experiment leads to the creation of a clone of Mewtwo, he sets out to destroy the world. Lightning and his royal family and his friends then decide to thwart Mewtwo's evil plans.read more
