Professor Charles and Erik Magnus Lehnsherr has came together and made a school called School for Gifted Youngsters which is made cause of the rise mutants but everything goes wrong when mutants start getting hated and killed by humans and also a man named Dr. Bolivar Trask is a human military scientist, weapons designer, and the head of Trask Industries who creates the Sentinels, giant robotic weapons built to hunt, capture, or eliminate mutants, whom he views as an existential threat to humanity. This creates separation between Erik and Charles and they have philosophical differences on how mutants should interact with humanity but they put it to the side to stop the Sentinels.
