Assuming that the planned movie, The Mutants is not specifically gathering the team and is, for example, more focused on the characters of Xavier and Magneto and the emergence of the X-gene, this proposal would act to bring the initial team of X-Men together.
With Marvel Girl, Angel and Iceman already recruited to Xavier's school, alongside his own son, David (ultimately Legion), the narrative would focus on the gathering of the school's final recruits: Cyclops, Beast and Dust.
