fredericarrowsmith In this iteration not only is Magneto black and scarred by the trauma of racism and seeing the Civil Rights movement he is also gay and the discrimination he faced being black , gay plus being a Mutant this gives his character added depth and reasons for the way he acts because the old Holocaust angle is no longer viable in the present day as he would be nearly a hundred years old.
