Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, in the present day, he is disillusioned with the world he finds it, where the mutant are sublimated by the humans, and recruits a team of powerful mutants, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance now that the most of the heroes are busy with a greater matter, is the obligation of the X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis yet and save mankind from complete destruction.
