Michel Gomes (born February 4, 1989, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a prominent Brazilian actor who rose to prominence through powerful performances in acclaimed cinema and television. He began his acting training at the age of ten with the community theater group Talentos da Vila Vintém before making his feature film debut as Bené in the critically acclaimed masterpiece City of God (2002). He achieved widespread recognition for his breakthrough leading role as Sandro in the biographical drama Last Stop 174 (2008), a performance that solidified his presence in the industry. Expanding his reach globally, Gomes starred as the wheelchair-using protagonist Fernando Carvalho in the hit Netflix dystopian thriller series 3% (2016–2018).
