Since the casting for the new movie has been shared, I wanted to propose how I imagined the characters while reading. I feel that Heathcliff should have three actors (child, teenager, and adult) and Catherine should have two actors (child and teenager) to most accurately represent their different ages. Their ages are only estimated, but they are believed to be about the same age and met when they were about 6-8 years old. The next milestone in the story is when Catherine is 18-19. Then we see Heathcliff as an adult where he is said to appear 40 years old.read more

Cathy is Catherine’s daughter. She has blonde curly hair and blue eyes. Throughout the novel, she is between 13 and 18 years old. She is good hearted, passionate, and strong-willed. I imagine her to have a bit of an ingenue appearance.
