Johanna won her Hunger Games through a simple strategy that relied heavily on her own acting ability. From the moment of her Reaping to her arrival in the Capitol, she pretended to be meek and forgettable, one of the many Tributes who end up as chaff for the thresher of the Games. This meant no one looked to her in the Arena itself, where she ran and hid until many of her fellow Tributes had killed one another. Description of Dart (District 12 male tribute):

Dart was quite proud to survive the bloodbath with a sword, a pack of bread, a knife, and alive. He hid on crooks on the mountain and ran away with very light footsteps if he heard someone is coming. At night, he stays inside the rocky cave and drinks from the little brook nearby. Dart maybe will survive to the final ten if Anther (District 7 male) doesn't peek inside his cave and sees him sleeping at night. Anther's big footsteps awakened Dart and they fight with all their might, trying to kill each other. After a long half an hour, Dart is stabbed in his chest and Anther went out of the cave as the winner.
