A huge nudge from Johanna (District 7 female) while fighting for some weapons and a huge crash with Dart (District 12 male) which sends him down on the wrong side of his body makes Cleave leaving the bloodbath with his left foot injured badly. Cleverly, he had got a backpack with food supplies enough for three days and hid in a cave nearby the Cornucopia. On the fifth day, the second day of eating nothing, Cleave starts vomiting blood and he knows his time is up. He goes to sleep at night as usual and never wakes again. His canon sounded at two p.m, waking the Careers who have their camp nearby.
