Per Degaton was the ruler of the Kasnia Conglomerate in the 22nd Century and protégé of Vandal Savage, who manipulated him into killing his father Tor Degaton and unleashing the Armageddon virus, killing billions of people. Eventually, Vandal Savage killed Per Degaton, painting himself as a hero in the eyes of the people.
