Unlike the recent attempts to personify the Kryptonian waif, Kara is a teenager / young adult (20 at best) who is trying to make sense of her tragic life and new abilities. She did not have the advantage of being an infant (like her cousin Clark) when the terrible tragedy of losing her family and her world occurred. Nor did Clark step up to shelter and raise her (arriving on Earth at age 12) but pushed her off on a human family (the Danvers). It turned out to be for Kara's own good, but at the time she felt extremely abandoned. Kaylyn Slevin would do better than anyone else in portraying the Maid of Might.
