Description of James Browning:
An English schoolboy who is primed to win the International Decathlon, looks and acts like a snob and a jerk, deep down is a lonely and insecure teenager who is under constant pressure from his grandfather who expects him to become a Lord and Member of Parliament when he graduates from university. He admires the story of Peter Pan, he feels that perhaps not being able to grow up would have been useful not to deal with the hardship and difficulties that adulthood has been known to hold.
