Down-on-his-luck private eye Eddie Valiant (Robert Downey Jr.) gets hired by cartoon producer R.K. Maroon (Fred Willard) to investigate an adultery scandal involving Jessica Rabbit (Angelina Jolie), the sultry wife of Maroon's biggest star, Roger Rabbit (Jack McBreyer). But when Marvin Acme (William Shatner), Jessica's alleged paramour and the owner of Toontown, is found murdered, the villainous Judge Doom (John Malkovich) vows to catch and destroy Roger.
