Andrew Neiman is the first-year student and the ambitious drummer learn to play the drum at the Shaffer Conservatory for the JVC Jazz Festival. His instructor, Terence Fletcher often abuse him physically and mentally when Andrew play the theme incorrectly. Andrew is sometime replaced by two other drummers.
